Have a spare but need help fitting it?
A missing jack, a difficult wheel change, or an unsafe roadside location can make changing a tire yourself impractical. Call with the vehicle’s location and let us know whether your spare is available, inflated, and accessible.
The spare must be suitable for the vehicle and usable. Some cars do not carry one. Check what you have before calling if it is safe to do so, and tell us about any locking wheel nuts.
What a mobile spare-tire visit includes
We assess the working location, access the affected wheel, remove it, and install the suitable spare as agreed. Have the locking wheel nut key available where your vehicle requires one, and tell us about damaged studs, missing hardware, or an inaccessible spare.
Call with any unusual circumstances before dispatch. A wheel or vehicle problem may require different equipment or a different form of assistance.
Temporary spares have limits
A compact temporary spare is intended for limited use. Follow the speed, distance, pressure, and placement restrictions printed on the spare and in your vehicle’s manual. Do not treat it as a permanent replacement.
Once the spare is fitted, arrange an appropriate repair or replacement for the damaged tire. We can discuss the next step based on its condition and replacement availability.
No usable spare? There may be another option
Tell us the tire size and type of damage. A mobile tire repair may be possible after inspection, or we can check availability for an on-site replacement. We confirm the service and price before dispatch.
For a vehicle in an active traffic lane or immediate danger, contact emergency services first. On restricted roads, follow the road operator’s instructions for assistance.
